【 The Brief Introduction of Ba’nan 】

The preexistence of Ba’nan district is a famous county which has thousands of years history——Baxian. Looking back to over 3000 years before, in Sang Dynasty, Ba people have multiplied and born at here, and established their own country and capital. In Qing dynasty, it was Ba prefecture; in the Southern Qi dynasty, it was Dianjiang county and in Northern Zhou dynasty it changed Ba county until 1995. In 1995, the State Council has entitled Ba’nan to district level instead of the county level, so the Ba’nan district has founded. Ba’nan district situates in the southern part of Chongqing urban area. It covers an area of 1,825 square kilometers and administrates 2 sub-districts and 19 towns, which has 860,000 populations totally. Ba’nan is Chongqing’s southern emerging industrial area, featured short-journey resorts in Chongqing suburb, Chongqing base for processing agricultural and sub-agricultural products. It belongs to Chongqing’s economic more developed urban circle.
